Twenty years ago, Holtec began with the tecnical formation of operators and engineers with a clear purpose: helping clients maintain the quality and performance of their operations.
The industry’s response was strong enough that in 2013 we formalized that calling by creating Holtec Capacitaciones, certified as a Technical Formation Organization (OTEC) under chilean norm NCh 2728.

According to the labour studies of the Mining Skills Council (CCM), the national industry faces a workforce supply/demand gap of over 35.000 jobs by 2030, driven by sector growth and the mass retirement of experienced professionals.
Building a skilled talent pool is not optional anymore.

Over these 20 years we have formed 4.850 students across more than 425 courses, accumulating 283.000 academic hours in sulfuric acid plants, smelters, refineries, and mines.
Our 30-strong client base includes Anglo American, Antofagasta Minerals, Atlantic Copper, Boliden, Codelco (six divisions), ISUSA, Molymet, OCP, PQP and Southern Copper among others.

Our cloud-based Moodle platform was the turning point that allowed us to evolve from conventional technical skill building into a strategic, specialized model for talent management.
This technological flexibility led us to focus on asynchronous specialized learning, enabling professionals in mining, smelters, refiners and sulfuric acid plants to access high-quality content without being tied to rigid schedules.
Each student progresses at their own pace, accommodating the reality of shift work, 24/7 operations and dispersed geographies, without compromising quality or personalized follow-up.
