Mining and minerals

Greater efficiency, increased profitability

In many mining operations, ore grades are declining. Processing more to get the same output, with rising operational costs and growing environmental pressures, is an increasingly difficult equation to balance.
In this context, the difference between a profitable operation and one that is not comes down to the details: how much ore is recovered, how much energy is consumed, how many reagents are used and how much time is lost in manual adjustments.

The answer is not to work harder, but to work smarter. Real-time elemental analysis and adaptive process control allow decisions to be made based on precise data, reducing losses and maximizing the yield of every tonne processed.

Together with Optecs and Spectral Industries, two cutting-edge technology partners, we are introducing these technologies to mining operations across the region, supporting our clients from pilot projects through to continuous operation, with one clear goal: greater efficiency and improved operational profitability.

Optecs – Reach optimum, stay optimum

Getting to peak operational performance is hard. Staying there, as process conditions change continuously, is even harder.
Optecs solves exactly that problem with intelligent controllers based on AI-enhanced fuzzy logic, which autonomously adapt the control of grinding and flotation circuits in real time, without manual intervention.

We go beyond conventional automatic control: the systems learn from the process, adapt to feed variations and continuously optimize performance.
The result is greater operational stability, lower energy and reagent consumption, and improved recovery per tonne processed.
Together we are developing this market across the region, supporting our clients in the evaluation, implementation and operation of these technologies in their plants.

Spectral – Insight beyond measure

Knowing the exact composition of ore in real time, without sample preparation and without waiting for laboratory results, fundamentally changes how a plant is operated.
That is what Spectral Industries’ LIBS technology does: an energetic laser pulse generates a plasma on the sample, and the emitted light spectrum instantly reveals the complete elemental composition of the material, including elements like lithium and carbon that other methods such as XRF cannot detect.

At over 100 measurements per second, these sensors enable continuous monitoring of product streams across the entire mining value chain: from exploration and drill core scanning to in-line conveyor belt analysis, ore grading and real-time quality control.
No samples, no laboratory, no waiting.

Together we are running pilot projects in the region, introducing this technology to copper and other mineral operations where analytical precision makes the difference between recovering more or losing value in the process.
